You don't do that to Tim Thomas. Nice job Greg Campbell.

Marchand was pretty ballsy, too.

Good game by the B's for sure! They killed some huge penalties for extended periods of time, and still can't figure out how they didn't score on that 2-1 short-handed bid

Penguins are really banged up and had a makeshift defense in their last night. I think they did fairly well all things considered. Offense definitely had their chances, but B's defense was pretty solid and Timmy was in beast mode.

B's are healthy...lets hope it lasts.

Have fun JG.

Why isn't anyone talking about the Bruins? They are unbelievable. Not even Pee Wee teams can rattle off 15 straight goals against their opponents.

And they have the #1 and #2 goalie in the league to boot!

So pissed that Luongo isn't playing. I was really looking forward to letting him have it. Well hopefully the Bruins rattle off 5-6 goals in the first period and they have to bring him in anyways.

Anyone else see this as the Canucks petrified that Luongo will have a meltdown and derail the next month of games for them?

Cory Schneider (the second best backup goalie in the NHL) is a local boy who has never started a game in Boston. Smart move by the Nucks.

I am hoping that Chara can keep bending over the Sedin sisters and that the Bs score enough to get to Lou by the second period.

Well that happened...

B's got caught up in the physical side of the game and it cost them.

Timmy played pretty well, and Canucks proved they could only score when they had the man advantage.

Not taking too much from that loss. As much as I hate them, Canucks are still a very skilled team.

Lucic's misconduct was rescinded after the game. Him being tossed I understood because it could seem that he came off the bench to join the fight, instead of being part of the change. The Marchand misconduct was ridiculous, he ducked a check and was tossed.

The Bruins played right into the Canucks game plan. They got them all riled up with the first scrum, then would instigate and then back off. A little too aggressive and the refs totally fell for it. There was at least 5 penalties that didn't get called on the Canucks that I saw, and at least 3 that should have been called. Granted I haven't seen the tv replay and was up in the balcony so I may have missed quite a bit.

Bruins dominated even strength, which was good to see. It is just tough to win a game playing against a team and the officials, and two of your best players being tossed when they should not have been. It was a very entertaining game though.

The NHL thought that Marchand did a little more than duck a check. He was handed a 5 game suspension. That will hurt. Lucky for the Bruins they are not battling too many injuries and we can bring up some talent from the 3rd or 4th line to cover for him. Maybe Peverly or Pouliot?

Just watched the replay of yesterday's Bruins @ Pens game; I didn't want to comment on it until I watched it. I was surprised the B's pulled Thomas because the goals he gave up were far from soft ones...and the third one came on a 5 on 3. Turco was impressive in relief, but the Pens were just way more physical and showed way more hustle. Other than #46 (Krachee?) it just looked liked the Bruins didn't even come to play. :hockey:

I think that there are only a handful of teams playing worse than the Bruins right now.

Pens will be tough is Sid makes it back and is in form. Is Letang done or might he return this year?

B's are definitely struggling. They seem like a team in disarray.

Having a hard time finding the back of the net, and injuries are piling up creating zero consistency in their lines.

They hit a similar stretch last year during this time as well...not being able to score, and just playing some ugly hockey. They then went on to win the cup...

Only a couple weeks to turn this thing around...if they don't, I think they'll be lucky to make it out of the first round.

Why can't the Bruins just play Toronto 82 times a year?

I hope this is the momentum swing they need.

Gotta keep the pressure on and get those early goals instead of giving them up.

Peverley should be back soon which will hopefully be a big boost.

Will Horton come back this year? With Horton and Peverly back they would be looking pretty good.

What's the story with this new goalie they signed? Was that just a move in case Tuukka does not return or will he get some playing time behind Timmy? I personally have not given up on Turco.

I was at MSG on Saturday night Rangers/Avalanche.
Rangers lost but they clearly outplayed them. shots on goal were 42 - 19.
Score was 2-1. Unreal.

Great times though!

Yep, your Rangers are for real. If it weren't for Lundquist, I am not sure they are built for the playoffs though. Having him will make it tough for anyone to beat them in a 7 game series.

Pens looked good for a change against the B's on Tuesday but having clinched the division title, the Bruins rested Timmy so it really doesn't mean much. I'm not sure the rest of the regular season means anything right now because the Rangers clinched and Philly is clear of the Devils...looks like the Pens are locked into a first round 4 vs. 5 playoff series against the hated Flyers.

BRING ON THE PLAYOFFS!!! :hockey:

Boy did the Wings come back in a flash last night....... Down 0-2 in the 3rd and they came back to win it in a shootout.
