Can You identify this NEFA Logo Discraft Disc?

Post by Scott Selders »

I bought a Surplus Lot of Discs-1 of them A Discraft Driver-has an early Nefa Blue Hot Stamp Logo on it. The Logo is a Ying Yang with a basket in the yang. The name on the back is Hartwell #2465-(Steve?)On the Front it says-N.E.F.A. New England Flying Disc Association-The Disc looks like it was rescued from a lake after being submerged for a long period. The color is a murky green.

Can someone tell Which Disc it is, and from what year? I know it's pre 2005.

Thank You

If it is anything like the disc I have with that same stamp, I believe it is an XL. It is the original Elite X plastic, which originated with the XL in '98. And the only other artifact I have with the yin-yang logo is a tee-shirt from the 1999 New England Overalls, so I think the time frame you're looking at for the disc is around 1998-1999, maybe 2000 at the latest.

Here's the disc I have...

Wow - that's my disc (no, I don't want it back)! Yes, it's an XL, and I'm guessing it might have come from the bottom of the lake on old hole 16 at Buffumville.
