Hey there,
With the new year upon us I wanted to send an invite out to folks in the Keene area. We are planning a quick get together on Weds. Jan 25th at 8 PM at Elm City brewery. Things to chat about:
1. Update on where things stand with the town
2. Options that we have for a course in town and at Otter Brook Dam
3. Fund raising idea's.
4. Letter writing campaign.
5. Does anyone know a cheap lawyer

to help set us up as a non-profit?
6. General DISCussion topics that anyone would like to bring up.
I look forward to seeing folks there. Bring anyone you know that's a friend of disc golf.
Thanks,
Derek

Nice, Titan.

I owe Derek a pm anyway. It will be hard for me to make it out there on the 25th, but I will try. I cannot do any legal work without clearing it with my firm ( I am after all a

) but I will see what I can do and I am thinking about someone else who could help, who I will speak to tomorrow probably.

http://forums.nefa.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9247&start=0derek in meantime get signed up for nefa($25) and apply for a small grant(up to $500)..nefa membership will also allow you to apply for a large grant when they potentially run them again in the fall..and will be great for your future expansion ideas in keene
you can sign up via online I will find the link for ya..
me and JB will be there..we have a round planned at his house in rindge earlier that day if anyone from the KDGC is interested
RT2DGC will sponsor a basket as well..I will raise the funds and have the basket ready by go time....
so where does that put ya at basket count wise? throw in the nefa small grant as well...we at 9?
if we are at 9 we get em in and some work done..run a lil event and all money goes towards another...then we are rounding the corner to 18! yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Keene DG!
tee signs you let me worry about those..I will use a lil ACOE cross promotion for those when ready..as Tully has the sign shop for all the AOCE properties
tees I have a great idea for semi cheap when ready and would love to implement them at this property...and will be easy for the locals to replicate/maintain
anyway to print out some google maps of the property for the day as well as a map to post here to review prior to the date..and for future reference
also send me an email as I never grabbed yours..just left mine..its

Howdy folks,
Just heard about the new momentum in Keene! Thought it had been tabled. I am in North Walpole, NH--definitely IN for helping out where needed (walk through, course design, clearing....maybe even sponsoring a basket!) As an aside, I had been working on a course at SIT in Brattleboro, and will pick that ball back up (after dropping it last year) and see where we stand. Definitely in a Dead Zone around here, and I'm in for assisting with, and promoting Dgolf wherever possible! Keep me posted.

We are still on for 2:30 on Friday off of Rte 9 at the main Otter Brook entrance. Chris if you can make we'd love to have you come as well. Fund raising for baskets hasn't even started, and I think we'll have up to 7 baskets to start. Once we get weekly leagues started and do some fund raising we'll have more baskets than we know what to do with... i Hope.
Titan, give me a ring tonight and we can chat about the Nefa application.

Hey Derek,
Thanks, I will try to be there. Middle of the day is tough, but being my own boss helps a bit....I'll see what I can do. Being new to the course location.....is it rte 9 towards Concord, or back towards Brattleboro? I'll be coming rte 12 from Walpole. Thanks. Hope to see you folks in a couple days. I just got wind there might be some energy moving towards a course in Chester, VT too!! Lots of good stuff--let's inundate the area!!

LOVE the date for the fund raiser! Give JB a big kiss for me... well you know what I mean. I'll send a note out to some of the College connections and get the word out on the KSC campus. Any chance we can get it added to the Nefa schedule?

wow..just wow...best ACOE land I have seen to date! and the Rangers seem awesome..just at a loss for words on this project cuz it is that perfect!
key notes
1.we need map of land for design discussion
a. eventually evolved to have coordinates for close hole depiction
2. Date for 2nd DG walk through as a team
a. 3/8 or 3/9? time? 10isham?
3.contacts for more baskets sponsorship
4.dates for rindge workday and event
a.3/31 work,event 4/7
b. workday 4/7 event 4/15
c. other
5.questions be collected and presented to rangers by 1-2 people (mark, derek) now that the overwhelming feeling of excitement of virgin land is done we need to focus on communication w/ them...on a more org'ed level
6.pictures of evolution
7.?
good for now
also I have a plan for less DG work..if we get the layout right and marked properly the rangers can do most with equipment..you shall see the plan next walk through
Chris you will be aroused when you lay your DG eyes on this place trust this my friend..your fire will respark and hope will return you may even cry cuz it is just that awesome!

I saved the map to my desktop; (could probably pull up into Photoshop or something to 'draw on') Also canl print out and bring, if I get a chance to do a walk-through. What time are you headed out March 3rd, Derek? I might be able to meet up if you need a hand, in the afternoon. Are you flagging all 18, or front 9, or...... ? Thanks for all your work on this!
