Anyone got any Star Archons?

Post by Bear Dunn »

Looking to try this out, but don't really want to buy one if I can trade with someone. I've got lots of plastic. Let me know what you want and maybe we can make a deal.

I've got a 175 star archon 2011 am worlds stamp on it. Field tested. Inked on bottom. I don't think it will make it to my bag. Will trade for something else.

Bear, I have a couple star archons, barely thrown. Now they can be Bearly thrown.

One is max weight, orange, normal stamp.. this one has slightly more wear.
Other is 165 ish lighter blue with a silver star stamp just about new except for ink.

Both are inked. I also have a blue champ with the worlds stamp, I think it is high 160s. They fly nice, but I am using teedevils for this slot.

Looking for kc rocs, buzzzs, TLs or beatish teebirds, valks , and pre-avery destroyers. Or whatcha got? Will do 2 or all 3 archons for the right disc for sure, and I am closer than ny...

not to hijack the thread- but how'd they fly for you? the archon? I picked up a champ one to hopefully be a flippy wraith (out of box) without having to break it in for over a year

I threw a champ one for 15 or so rounds and a little bit in a field. Was not much flippier than a wraith out of the box, but it probably got flippier a little faster than a champ wraith.

My chArchons are flippier than a star wraith that's been beat into submission. True story.

You're all set, then. I immediately said that this disc is the most glorious off-the-shelf disc I've seen yet. Ideal, if you ask me. Lose one, buy another. No need to wait a couple months before it flies like you want it to.

sick... just what i wanted to hear. then again, it isn't hard to be more informative than INNOVA is about their own discs. you read their description and it ends with "This is the disc for players looking to master their game and rule the course."

Oooooohhhhh... THAT'S why i haven't mastered my game, OR ruled the course!

I recommend Champ over Star for the Archon... they're more Archony off the shelf.

Went to Florida and didn't want to risk losing my seasoned star wraith so I brought a champ archon. It definitely acted flippy, but mostly in that wraith s turn type of way. The only time I turned it over was into a headwind and I threw it like a chump- so I give the disc a thumbs up. It's probably gonna see a lot of action being my back-up go-to distance disc... I like the thought of replacing it and knowing its a little flippy.
