Team Crafty new "tournament scorecard"
Team Crafty has designed a new 3x9 double sided tournament scorecard. Players who attended the Crane Hill Ice Bowl were the first test group. The J-Park IB and Noho Snow Throw will also be test tournaments for the new design. Team Crafty is looking for player and TD feedback. Drop me a PM or email (ditterman@sbcglobal.net) with thoughts and suggestions on the new design.
Thanks

Re: Team Crafty new "tournament scorecard"
So far the feedback has been very helpful. I will start brain storming and try and tweak the design to make the cards fit better in the pocket or on the bag. I am also interested on hearing about the function of the cards during the tournament and score checking for the TD and staff. Did using the same card twice (flipside for the 2nd round) cause any confusion for the players during the round or the score checkers after the round?
thanks

Not sure what pocket you designed this to fit but I kinda like the fact that I can just slip it between discs and have it easy to grab because it sticks out a bit.
Reaction to showing it to players at our membership meeting was positive. Only complaint I heard was the fact that it's 18 holes and J-Park has 27. On the plus side of that, there's a potential for us to purchase some of the 4x6 cards you sent me with all 27 holes on it.
Really interested to hear the comments about it in tournament play.

The ones I just got from you for Tolland Leagues are great! Thanks.
Having used the two sided ones at Crane Hill last wknd. I think those worked well, we didn't have any issues with them other than the numbers we wrote on them.

Lots of positive feedback from all who used the cards. Only issue i found was that i caught myself counting the wrong side of the card a couple times after the second round. We had to re-number the cards to line up with the layouts we used and not all were numbered on the single watermark side for the 1st round.
All division winners got a card in addition to their prizes.

Re: Team Crafty new "tournament scorecard"
I'm not a fan of reusable cards for tournament uses. Anyone can easily change the scores without notice. Sometimes some tournaments would keep the cards for historic purpose.
The reusable card are good for league plays. It still in use at Rochester, NY's leagues for the past couple years now BUT they use laminated cards and grease pencils (used for underwater scuba diving). It works very well with no major issues. No, the greased scores does not even come off during heavy rains nor dropped in the water or mud!!
Had anyone tried to erase the whole scores and then try it again? Sometimes the lead pencil does not stick on it after erasing couple times. I think grease pencils are the only way to make sure that it sticks and can easily rub off with a towel.
Just my feedback on it....

Re: Team Crafty new "tournament scorecard"
I have been toying with adding a plastic loop to the 3x9 cards to solve the too big for disc golf bag pocket problem. I had the print shop try and put a bend in the 10 mil pouches, however the seal pops open because they are just too stiff. I sent them some 3 and 5 mil pouches to see it that would work any better (fold the cards like a laminated menu) I am checking them out tomorrow and it all goes well placing a pouch order (for the thinner pouches) on Tues.
In response to players erasing/adjusting their score during the round. Wouldn't take also be possible with a regular paper card or the grease pencil card? I guess if somebody really wants to cheat, they will do it with whichever card is being used.
Thanks for all the feedback, keep it coming.

Re: Team Crafty new "tournament scorecard"
The 3x9 3 mil folded card looks pretty good. I'm going to make up some demo's for the Wick Tues. HC league to test them out.
If you run a league or TD a tournament and you want to be a test group let me know. I should be getting my new supplies in next week sometime. I'll do 3 or 4 test groups, I'll supply the cards you supply the weekly or tournament use, hit me up with feedback on durability and overall performance.
Thanks
