Pyramids Hole 5 Silver

X Putt'r

Was it the only good shot I threw that round? Quite possibly.

Congrats, Will Stoddert also hit one this weekend on hole 5 at Wickham. Must be something about the number 5 this weekend.

Just missed an ace on hole 5 at Pease Park on Tues. The basket is located in between 3 large trees (a fairly short hole). My drive with my previously exiled Storm looked good all the way. As it started the final descend towards the basket it just nicked one of the guardian trees leaving me a drop in birdy.

Two days later and 2 holes earlier the ace was had. Hole 3 at Pease Park is a dogleg over a stream. The shot is pretty open, but there are danger areas that could leave you OB wet. I had some success throwing a lazy Orc a round the corner for a pretty straight forward birdy the 2 previous days. This time I decided to fire a low shot to avoid the tree cluster I had hit the last time through. Since Texas has been really dry, the ground is very hard like cement. My drive skipped wide around the corner about 8 feet from the basket. At first I thought it was way too hard and would travel well beyond the basket. To my surprise the disc rang center chain for the ace. As I crossed the stream to retrieve my newly bagged ace, a player from the next hole yelled over " that was awesome dude!".

The rest of my round was super energized, I even over drove the easy hole 5 birdy hole (all the way to hole 4's tee box). It ended up being my best golf day in Austin.

Hit my first ace at borderland today, hole 14 white.... the short one. Soft Wizard of course. Definitely the most satisfying splash of the chains that ive had so far.

Willie Stewart nails TWO ACES in one round!!!!!!!!!

He's my 10 year-old son, and it was on the Red tees (shorter a 150 and a 123 footer) at Pye Brook.

He finished with a 49, 8 under par on the 3,348 ft. layout. Interesting that he shot a 67 there Monday. I told him he could play the Blues once he got to 10 under par last year. I guess he's wants to hang with the big boys.

Now I owe Wille $2. I forgot to give him the first one.

I told Matthew today and he believed the two aces, but couldnt believe the 49. That is a heck of a day for the eldest Stewart child. (He beat me by a stroke on the day)

1st ace ever today on hole 10 white to white at Borderland,
and I didnt even mean to throw that disc.

It was a champion Beast, which should have sailed about 75-100 feet past the basket. I meant to thow a different disc in my bag that is a similar color but I was just playing quickly and didnt even look. Well it looks like it was a lucky mistake. Too bad it wasnt during league, where I would have won the big money

Good for you Tom, way to go! I hope that makes up for having to suffer through playing cali on the Blue to long course at league last week - that had to have been tough :?

Only the second ace on that hole ever :thumleft:

Wickham #15

Ok, so I inherited tag #49 today, but the highlight of the round was seeing Ditterman (Ditter the Hitter) ace #15 at the Wick today with a sweeping flick that sailed around the left alley of trees and calmy clanged chains. As I was on the bench, my view was obstructed, but the unmistakable sound and of course the aftermath of a disc suspended by the basket accompanied by loud cheers was proof enough. Nice shot Steve!

He performed the feat with a light blue Orc - not sure what weight

Other Witnesses:
James Lane
Clayton Davidson
Paul Oxly

Late to the scene - Dan Mack - who immediately inquired "Did someone just ace that hole?"

Just like Borderland 10 W-W, I believe this is the second time the hole has been aced. I remember Jerel Davis nabbing it in late 2004.
