Agreed...interesting.

I've been over the last 7 or so years out to SF's GGPDGC every year and have seen how the course was initially transformed / redesigned and has been maintained. They've done a super job in such - perhaps, in part, because of this program (I don't know how long it's been in effect).
I'm not saying that a similar program wouldn't work around here, but the concept of "incentives" for volunteers kind of takes the word volunteer out of the equation...sort of like paying AMs in funny money    ! Not that this couldn't be done though.
But understand that there are logistics of "keeping track of such" and that the beta-test here (the GGPDGC) has perhaps as many potential volunteers and half a N.E. state does (to draw from).

yes logistics galore for sure...and yes Bay area had great POPulation compared to say SNH...but I think this may have some value

The merch can be generated from area DG shops/courses as kinda of an AD..donate some swag to go towards this program..and watch it unfold!..obv would have its obstacles as would anything...

Marshall street volunteer program kinda has a ring to it!

It would be interesting to know how the program worked out. In general, I would be concerned about the reliabitilty of volunteers that only participated to get a prize.

if there was a stamped disc,or work stamp for clothing that ya could only get with blood, sweat from hardwork..the disc may become a badge of honor that players strive to have in their BAG or wall

just a thought on this thought
