call it what ya want....like it or not..ok onto the point

after a discussion w/ the town official for Bicentennial park,he also runs the local community service project

ok that said

he stated the town does not have $$$ for projects to keep them moving along...only fuel for machines even low fuel budget really ...after spring clean up they have nothing really planned and have crews of 15 people w/ tools provided

so we all know that jails are over crowed and court house is not gonna stop making $$$ and peeps have legal right to work fees/cost off if indigent/hardship...so the beast is still gonna roar....

this is a great opportunity for area DG course connections/new course areas to utilize this resource...

basically the cost for maintenance on a DG course is low..just time..and sometimes we raise $$$ for big job..tee ect ect

we need to capitalize as the towns get less $$$ they still need to justify everything high taxes ect ect so they will be looking for things like DG to show some positive action for community and if we can fund raise for equipment the sell is real easy right now..

just a thought

discuss

DisCap has done this to some effect. We have had kids that got into trouble and have to do community services help us out at our beginners clinics. Being a 501(3)(c) allows us to qualify for their community service hours. We have had them pick up garbage on the course help man our DG tent and hand out stuff and other menial tasks. Never had adults on work release do course maintenese but getting the kids to help out let's them get the community service hours and let's us expose dg to a younger crowd.
