P Hill
TT
Crane
WT
Buff
NoHo
We got $800 to utilize. I say save all we can for payouts. Like best single and dubs scores, ctps, and overall. Maybe even have a table for each teams food spread. Then the best team spread can receive a payout?
Do we need to pay green fees?

Re: B pool Finals @ Maple Hill 4-14-12
Who is going to step up and run the show?
Dakai?
Hickson?
Collaborative effort?
Regardless of who runs it, I highly recommend having singles scorecards ready to go before the morning of, it's a time consuming and pita thing to do in the morning with all the other stuff that is going on at the same time.
Let me know.
Thanks.

I will talk to Steve to see if he can help. If so I can help him help us.
I say TT n PHill pick the layouts now. Tt you pick for singles PHill you pick for dubs.
What time should we plan on starting? 9:30?

Steve can't make Finals. Kaz will be taking the reins for WT. I will have the use of Steves scoreport though.
If each captain pm's there rosters to me for singles and dubs I will do the hole assignments with random.org.

pHill chooses GOLD Layout for Dubs... message from Dave Jackson:
Dave Jackson wrote:Hey bud!!!
We have decided on a price for the B Pool Finals to take place at Maple Hill.
The price includes us shutting the course down to our Membership as well as our regulars and opening it to the B Pool Finals. How ever many players attend, we can accomodate.
Also included is the usage of the club house all day, which will be furnished with chairs, tables, games, electricity and the best fcuking view from a clubhouse, period![]()
The pro shop will be open and ready for everyone.
A new #17 will be ready to crush all hopes and dreams.
The fee will be $400 for the day.
The extra we are willing to put up to the participants is we will offer a half price greens fee to anyone interested in playing a practice round from the moment everyone agrees to using Maple Hill as the venue, till Friday the 13th of April. One time usage per player, $5 for all day play. They must be on a team, sign in on the appropriate sign in sheet as "TC5" and play their azzes off.
If there is any way possible you could forward this to the Captains, I'd hug you.![]()
I hope this is an option for everyone.
Thanks Bud,
Dave

That's literally half of our pot! I love Maple Hill, but come on... That would mean that BOTH top and bottom are competing for $400. BIG DISLIKE! Please pick another venue!

I will poll my team, I seriously doubt this is gonna fly. Most of us don't play there because its pay to play.

Re: B pool Finals @ Maple Hill 4-14-12
So can we agree $66.66 a team?
At this point I would say pot luck lunch.
I still need single rosters for WT, TT, Crane, and Noho.
I could agree on $ to 1st, best single and doubles scores, and ctp's.
Unless someone else wants to run this thing I will.

$ 500 for 1st
$ 50 for hot singles round
$ 100 for hot dubz round
$ 150 for ctps
Pot luck is cool.
66 bucks per team is cool.

Pre season you all voted for CTP's holding all the money. That's what was agreed upon. Can't change it now.

Re: B pool Finals @ Maple Hill 4-14-12
Just asked this question in TC forum but anybody know how scoring works with women at Finals? We're having a workday at Crane tomorrow where most all of our team will be there and I want to give everyone the run down.
How about this for commitment. All 20 Crane players qualified for Finals.
Plus, our gal, Katie, didn't miss one challenge.
Dedication sun.

Re: B pool Finals @ Maple Hill 4-14-12
This is what happened last year.
10 players in singles, with one mandatory female player. If there is no female player for singles, the team plays 9 players and takes the highest female score +1 stroke.
5 doubles teams for round two. Female is not mando for this round. Doubles scores are double weighted for scoring.

We need to discuss layout options. I say doubles Gold in the morning, then singles red or white in the afternoon.

Singles on RED is weak, step it up and play WHITE, this is the top B pool isn't it.
Or is it Tolland's shenanigan's thinking they have a chance to beat pHill on the deuce or die course?
pHill is going to destroy....

Re: B pool Finals @ Maple Hill 4-14-12
So are we doing all CTP's for the $$$?
Or do we want to go with the idea Les had?
Or do we want to go with the idea Les had?
Les Sinnock wrote:So - I have a suggestion for how to spend the $800
Proposal:
We take $200.00 of the pot and spend it on food. Dave's idea of having a pizza place come out for orders in the morning probably would not work as the sole provider of food for everyone. Figure 80 people roughly - Say we are 4 people per large pie that's 80/4 or 20 pies at roughly $15 per pie we would be at $300. But if we bought 13 pies $195 and had teams bring some supplemental foods and drink, then we have a party.
Next we take another $200 and make 8 - $25 CTP's 4 for the singles round and 4 for the dubz
Last we take $400 and split it amongst the 3 top teams to come out of finals
1st place $200
2nd place $125
3rd place $75
Like I said I will bring a bunch of beer (glass sorry) for ONLY the clubhouse
I bet my dubz partner will bring a log of some Willimantic brewery fresh ale
If others bring food (I like the crockpot idea) then we have a feast.
Does this work ??
Other suggestions ?

I'll vote for Les's plan.
Is somebody handling the $.
I still need the single rosters for WT, NoHo, and Crane please.

Re: B pool Finals @ Maple Hill 4-14-12
So Buff, PHill, TT (I think) chose the Les plan. If this is correct then it has been decided. Buff also agrees on starting at 10. So again Phill, TT, and Buff chose a 9:40 players meeting and a 10 o'clock start time.
Who's in charge of the $
They would be ordering the pizza as well.
I'll do it if nobody wants to.

Re: B pool Finals @ Maple Hill 4-14-12
Hey who knows the order of rounds for this thing?
We playing singles on reds first or doubles on golds first?
Eh?
And in singles you really have 11 scores counting right? Ten top singles scores plus the woman on your roster?

Re: B pool Finals @ Maple Hill 4-14-12
As far as first layout I thought we had chosen reds first but after looking back I don't know where I got that from. I guess that could change if we all vote on it.
In singles it's 9 guys and 1 girl for your teams top 10 scores. If you don't have a girl qualified then you get the worst girls score plus 1 for your girls score.
You do not have to play your girl in dubs.
