Mr. Heenan AKA "The Champ"

Post by Andrew Tabaczynski »

For those of you that stuck around after the final results were in, and maybe a bit longer after that, you will be aware that Heenan was in rare form.

Can we talk about this for a bit?

Some thing are better left unmentioned but I realize we are in NEFA which is filled with a bunch of soap opera watchers.

Since there were only 6 people standing around the actual sceen. Let's not put up anybody's interpretation of what they "heard" happened.

Eh, dude apologized. That's good 'nuff, right? Good old case of "out of your element". Happens.

I don't know Heenan personally, but I'd assume that, like the rest of us, he's an OK dude with a bad day or two under his belt. Can we get a mod to nix this and the other thread? If something needs attention, it shouldn't be in public shaming unless the offender put someone in physical danger, cheated, stole.

Mr. Heenan is a great guy. The only problem I had with him is the ridiculous shot he had at West T. 16... Skipped about 200 ft. on the fragile ice and onto the beach. Pre tourney 54. I will never forget that... Best played skip ever. Atleast I am believing that.

Wick.... ahhh shoot, I just misspelled "angle-shooters"...

Except for Dan, Clayton, Heather, Lick, Ditter, Nickel, Big Nic, JayPro, Abel, Greggor, Patrick, Tabs, Bennett, Mullen, Marvin, Shane and Mark....

seemed to me, the most upset person with the penalty point was you Jessie, in the end it didn't matter, but next year, the "Wick" rule will be put in place to defend against this practice.. conveniently, it'll go under the "Jessie Carreri" Section of the "Wick" rules.

Also, personally, I like both PJ Dan and Heenan. Thus they are both still good in my book, sometimes when people drink as much as both teams did that day tempers flare by the end of the day... Is what it is, as Jim said, Matt apologized, people can let it go. If you weren't there, you don't need to know the details. nuff said.

I was not upset and I agree with the penalty point. Didn't understand the way you were explaining it at first. Change whatever you want. You do every year, and I don't complain. I like to golf. Our captain made our lineup to include everyone on the day the best he could. Sorry no one brought as many people as us. Our bad for qualifying and showing up.

Heenan starting talking [bleep] to me personally before anyone else was done playing. Just three of us in the parking lot when the hate started. We all saw what happened as more alcohol was consumed. Funny guy, so cool.

I have little say in our teams stategy but support any decisions my captains make.

Yes, but the rule was used to weaken Capt. Lawrence and in turn strengthening the lineup Wick could put out there. I wonder what you would have done if the penalty had been 2 or 3 points?

Either eliminate women from the challenge or make it mandatory for them to play each other. There is no need for penalties.

Welp, based on that post, I can see that Wick is in this league for the right reasons  .... we thought teams would embrace the "spirit and sportsmanship" and that penalties wouldn't have to be used.
