Charlton Woods, Who's In?

Post by Jason Southwick »

It takes a lot to make a disc golf course. It takes commitment, and a lot of help.

George Economos has given me permission to make a course on a plot of land at Charlton Woods. I'm not just honored, i'm phkn tickled.

I'm going in there with everything I have. No meetings. I can bring my dogs. I will be enveloped and assisted by the Economi.

It seems necessary to compile a list of people who wish to help, who are willing to be personally contacted about work days.

I'm looking for people who enjoy creating disc golf courses, who know to stand back five feet from the guy with the chainsaw. People who like to help, who know how to help. How do you help? You help. You imagine that your mom will have to put in the tees we don't finish, weedwhack the fairways we don't get to, and mix the cement for the baskets the day before the tournament.

If it gets people to our workdays, I'm willing to dress as your mom, or even Bobby D's mom (who belongs in every post worth posting).

Who wants to be on the list? Who wants to build the next course with me and my friends?

My name is precious, but put me on the list so I can say I was on the list...

Oh yeah, and I would love to help with this amazing property and endeavor.

not much availability in summer due to kids school being out, but onboard for Fall. Nice and close to my house so could help out often.

I wish I lived closer, because I would be all in for helping. I will likely make it to a workday though.

I am willing to help but can't do workdays during the week. Can do weed wacking and tee building. If you get a lot of the course mapped out with trees marked I can also do some serious damage with my chainsaws.
