Gonna start some general cutting and cleaning before every league. Concentrating on one hole at a time. Starting this week. Any early birds wanna pitch in?

Got some work done before league. Opened the mouth of 3 and took care of the limb that was down, also took care of the stuff hanging into the fairway on 12 (bc your flick route is back open). The anny route is also opened up. Chainsaw died but took care of the tree on 11 with my machette fueled with anger.....

Just in case some of you don't follow the league thread....

Work continues. Matt Aubin cleared out the 30' circle on 18, the inside corner of 8 was thinned for those coming 20' short of the turn to have an ally and tonight I worked on 10. I thinned the right side fairway of anything that could be cut with loppers. The intention was to allow drive headed right a shot at penatrating farther. The hole was designed as a straight shot, thinning the right does not turn the hole intO a hyzer hole, it just allows an easier up and down for offline right shots.

I'd like to schedule a weekend work day. Anyone interested in helping. What are peoPles availability?

I was at the park tonight and saw the paintball vandalism on the main course sign. When did that happen and was it reported to the local police?

Matt Aubin and I will be installing the tee platforms on both #2 and #9, this Sunday. Anyone around that can help? Some digging will be needed to get these flat. A quick round will follow if everything gets done quickly.

True....what's nice is how peoPle become freaking course designers and complain during rounds, but do nothing to help make things better when the opertunity presents itself.

Thanks Brian!

so, a long time ago Jermery Thresher said he'd find time to get to PAnthorn to do some work....Today he paid up!!!! he kicked serious a$$! he started working at 10am and put in a full day.

here's what he got done:
-picked up all the garbage on the course
-removed all the limbs from the HOt Tub (pic on Panthorn's face book page)
-dragged the cut limbs on the side of 5 further into the woods
-got rid of everything to the right of the rock on 7, in the rough. pulled it back all out of play
-sawed and removed all the logs that were laying across 8's fairway
-got rid of the big limb that fell by the pin of 8
-got rid of the big limb that fell in the middle of 9

 i didn't even check the back

Thank you Jeremy. i owe you one. 8-)

Hot abel chainsaw action videos on the facebook page...

Looks like Sunday, September 9th will be the last big work day. Here's what left to do:
-weed whacking
-final mow on 2/3
-raking out the putting circles and marking them like at Wick
-chainsaw and remove limbs on the left side of 13
-pole saw limbs on 4
-clean up tournament central area.
-remark OB areas on 16 and 6
-final trash pick up
-leaf blow fairways
-help with Abel's continued efforts

Who is available to help? expecting a big team panthorn turn out or did thresher do all the work for the team?

(holding breath...now)
