Going to be in the Albany area tomorrow and was going to check out this course for the first time. I'm hoping to get a round in around 1ish. Anybody having any suggestions on what layout I should play. Is the course easy to navigate? Is there a cost? Any advice would be welcomed.

If you have 3.5 hours the 27 hole layout is highly recommended.
If you want to play a more wooded layout then play the Jurassic KC Layout 18. 4, 5, 9-24.
If you want to play the more Open layout-then play the B course-1-18.
The course is easy to navigate-there are scorecards/Maps at the Kiosk with different scorecards for the different layouts.
-J-Park has the the coolest next Tee Signs I've ever seen.
It is FREE.

I ended up playing all 27 holes with Steve. Man, what an awesome course you guys have. I really loved the course and threw it well. Honestly, it has everything. I travel right by the course to go to upstate NY (where I'm from) and I plan on making this course my half-way point stop for a stretch spot. You will see me up there for ice bowls and anything else that happens there. Well done to the boys who help keep this course great!

The holes in the woods on the east side of the street are what makes the course, IMO......... and we're only used a fraction of what's available over there.
Our next step is adding alternate tees.

Going out there tomorrow from Boston. Have not been the J park in two years. Can't wait to experience the new layouts.

Good times, Kylie. Thanks for the company!
I fell in love with J-Park all over again. The 27 hole layout is one of my top five all-time favorite courses. Thanks, ya'll!

If you're planning a trip this way, PLEASE throw from next to any un-shoveled tees.

Yeah, i got there around 3:45, silly trains running late. The course looked great, without the massive lakes in the middle of holes. I look forward to heading there for some tourneys without rapids and lakes impeding.

On Tuesday, the Town of Coeymans voted to allow us to install paver stone tee pads on all 28 holes !!!!!
The only stipulation is that we have to fund and install them ourselves. We will be accepting any and all donations to help get this done before NY States in June.
Make a check or M.O. to: Schenectady Disc Golf Club or DisCap

We're going a different route as far as the type of pavers.
24" squares.
Super grippy texture.
We laid them out on tee #2 to show the town our basic plan..........overall size will be 4'x10' on most the holes.

Here's is the framed look that we plan to use. Gravel and sand is supposed to arrive soon and then we'll get this one leveled out so we can get moving on others.

What is it costing you per pad in materials?

We are getting 10 2x2 paver per tee @ 2.50 each so $25 for pavers.
We are using pressure treated 10' 4x4 3 for each tee @ 11 each so $33 for 4x4
Rebar to hold the frames down. 8 2' pieces per tee 2 on each side. Hopefully we will be getting 10' sections of rebar and cutting them down to 2' as it is way cheaper.
The variable is the base material some tees will need more than others. Plus we are trying to get gavel and sand donated.
I think full price we would have to spend a little more than $75-$80 that Jeff has there. But hopefully with donations we can bring cost down to $75-$80 each tee.

Nigel mentioned that he has land in the area with a few hundred yards of molding sand. All we gotta do is arrange for transport.
