Kevin Gardner and Devon Labelle 41 on *a* short layout at Crane - there are no labels to clearly define 2 layouts. On what we would consider one of the easiest loops, a 41 on par 55 is still a rediculous score.

Yep!
And this past weekend Vin Steele and I shot a 40 with short 6 in place. 3's on 9-12, 2's on everything else. Last of the nice weather for a while I guess...

KG after playing webster this winter I must say your round is more impressive then I suspected...cuz all those holes are not just chuck a disc and ya get a 2...and the par 4's are very tough 3's

Just looked back to make sure... KG's/ VS's dubs record at Webda (40) is almost as impressive as the singles record at WebDa (40) also held by... KG. the singles record may have been old layout? But still one of the best singles rounds I have ever heard of.

I think Jay Nourse had a 50 at the Buff tourney. Or was that 51?

This course record shows the growth of the sport instead of an individual achievement. Hope that fits into this thread

- Devens league has been averaging about 60 players per week but last night we broke into the 70s!!!

Not sure, but I think with new tweaks I set the Maple Hill Blue record with a 51 at the Maple Hill X tournament, but I can't confirm?

Cory Sprague and I shot 42 dubz at Bellamy on Wednesday. FYI, singles record is still 46 set by Ryan Keefe (I think last summer).

I watched AJ Brunell and Richie Bunnyvie team up for a dubz 42 at Newton Hill on Saturday.

Kyle Moriarty and Micah Franzman shoot 45 on The General at Hawktoberfest.

Ned Eisenberg and Sam Henderson shoot 43 on The Hill.

Both doubles records as was Kyle and Micah's combined 91 (46,45) for both courses.

RFG glow layout 46 by both Jason LaSasso and myself. :D

In other news, not a course record, but possibly a NEFA record: I won 3 events that weekend accumulating a total of 303 NEFA points in under 48 hours.

It was a little over 600 miles on the Subaru that weekend, but well worth it!

Not sure if I posted this before, but the quarries course record (previously shared by Dave Frothingham and yours truly) was lowered to a 7-under 54 by Travis Connolly, Michael Habets, and Joe Yaskis.

An interesting factoid:
Joe must have learned all the lines not to throw in his 1st round 71. He thus had the unique distinction of holding both the highest and lowest MPO scores for the day. Way to turn it around Yaskis!

So I started the year off well with a new singles round record of 35 at Ice Bucket X.

The event also had several other new records:

attendance - 69

aces - 9? Not exactly sure, but the course got lit up. One guy even had two aces in the high/low doubles round!

money raised - Most importantly we crushed our fundraising goal by raising over $15,000 for two of our local food banks!

Thanks to everyone who helped!

Nick Gross shot an unofficial 1026 rated first round of 50 at the Quarries Throwdown to lower the course record to a ridiculous 11 under!

Here's how that round looked (birdies in green, pars in black, bogies in red)

Front:
2,2,4,3,2,2,3,3,4=25
Back:
4,3,2,3,3,3,3,2,2=25

Alex Benson dominated the advanced women's field partially on the strength of her second round 58 (-3) from the white tees, also a new record!

Front:
3,3,3,3,2,3,3,4,6=30
Back:
5,4,2,2,4,3,3,2,3=28
