Sooo... not the 4th? I can definitely do the 11th, 18th will be tough but I could probably swing something, but I cannot do the 25th.

Hey Guys,
Personally, I'd rather not play the 4th if we have other options. Just with the SB the next day and all, I'd like to remember at least one day of that weekend. If the 11th was possible across the board, I'd much rather play that weekend.
As for tomorrow, I will unfortunately only be able to play one round with my shoulder. (Also why I favor anything after the 4th for next challenge as it gives me time between rounds). I'm in that phase where I'm between physical therapy and potentially surgery and 2 rounds at Tully last weekend didn't do me any favors. I will be playing the morning round, whatever the format is. See you all tomorrow in the AM.
Tasty,
At the Tully IB last weekend, there was a players meeting where they were adressing the tee boxes. The verdict was that you could definitely throw behind but not to the side (this was a C-tier so the die-hards went nuts when they tried to propose the sides as being ok). Because this is TC and not a C-tier, maybe we can make some adjustments to "the book" when it comes to some of the boxes which may have a layer of ice on them.

However, at least Pyramids has flypads for their tee's. They're not going to be skating rinks like those cement pavers were at Tully....and there's no problem using spikes/yak traks on them.

I was actually thinking we weren't allowed to use microspikes on the pads. I plan on using them on all non-tee shots (or until I get tired of putting them on/off). This may require further clarification...

Rob Walker said that he and Jason tested flypads with him using Kahtoola's and there was no damage. The only problem was with Rob's knee taking the stress, because once you plant your foot there's no give....your foot's not moving.

Correct. Using Microspikes all day with lots of run ups is great for grip, but awful for twisted knee on front leg.

Okay let me look into the 11th and please can everyone mark March 17th down for now as a date we are playing. Steve from WT and I have been talking and to get confusion out early we preamptively set a prospect date because March is pretty busy.

I just read the Feb. challenge thread and the 4th is no good for them. Well, guys we have a choice let's try and make up our minds right now. I have heard mixed reviews about the 11th so what about the 12th?? It is going to be at Tully. I know that not everyone can make it to every challenge and Alan if you are feeling hurt remember it is best to not get hurt and rest up. We need you at full strength coming into the end of this season. So 12th?? How does it look I will get everyones answers tomorrow. Be prepared for snow and I have Team Sweatshirts gonna be a good day.

There is a chance I might be in Vegas on the 12th. I am either leaving the 9th or the 15th. I will keep you posted. Get ready for some snow people. Should be an interesting day. Can anyone bring ribbon? I didn't get a chance to get any. I think I have tape...

Spread the word please Feb. 12th looks to be our next challenge. Please if you can't make it let me know. Mark O is probably not going to be able to attend. Unfortunately they have a long commute and taking in to account they probably won"t make it back home after the challenge until pretty late dates were pretty limited so the 12th is it. Meet at Tully at 9:00. Our turn to bring food and we can discuss that in the next couple weeks. Might be a good idea to see if we can meet up next to the ranger station. I will ask Bill and other than that March 17th is our final challenge against WT so we can look forward to that too. No more planning yeah!!! Okay Feb. 12th 9:00 at Tully next challenge.

We should put together a go/no-go list for our February 12th challenge at Tully since it looks like we're going to be down a few members. No sense in making pHill bring a bunch a players they don't need on a 2 1/2 hour road trip.
So here's a start:
Adam Whitten(C) - Go
Luke Adolph - Go
Mark Ottenberg - NoGo
Troy Dietrich - Go
Duke - Go
JayBob - Go
Joe Hamilton - ?
Bill Mehr - Go
Al Mac(Co-C) - Go
Sunni Lyman(F) - Go
John Britton - ?
Ralph Rogers - ?
John Hart - Go
Frank Strauss - Go
Alex - Go
Kevin Gardner - NoGo
Don Phillips - Go
So far, 12 yays and 2 nays.

Let's get ready for this one. Okay Frank Alex Donnie Ralph Joe John Britton I need to know if you guys are in for this challenge. Also food situation, I think we are going to stick to our guns at Tully Troy. You and I and a couple other guys on our team would benefit from either round being at Flatrock but our team as a whole plays Tully better in my opinion. I feel that we are going to have a tough match but we can take it home at Tully. Hopefully the weather will stay pretty decent until next weekend the 12th. Okay who is cooking what do I need to get power? Should we do a shorter lunch than at Pyramids. My opinion is a shorter yet fillinf lunch with easy to make dishes would take stress off of the challenge and equal more fun. Maybe less food we can bring more beer????? Lol just a thought.
