Still not enough melting on The General to install tee boxes this weekend, so we are moving to Plan C. We will do small one-day workdays to prepare and install boxes and platforms. Final install of base material and fly pads in the boxes needs to occur on a Saturday. Next available day without Tourney conflict looks like May 3rd, so that is our target date. Leave that date open if you can. We want a good turnout. Stay tuned for announcements on the one-days.

Small workday tomorrow, Friday April 18th and again Monday April 21st. We will be framing in groundboxes on The General so work is relatively light - grading and flattening tee areas and placing boxes in place. Come by The Hawks Nest any time and they can direct you to the work. We plan to start at 9am. Bring rake, shovel, pick if you can.

Just a friendly reminder we are having a workday this Saturday, May 3rd. We will be compacting fill into the twelve ground boxes and covering with them with Flypads. We need to move a fair amount of fill material with wheel barrels, so the more people and wheelbarrows we have the easier this will be.
Weather looks good, not too hot. We will meet at 9am at The Hawk’s Nest to begin, but feel free to come anytime later in the day to help out.
We could really use wheelbarrows if you got one. If it’s more convenient, you can drop it off at The Hawk’s Nest before Saturday and they will lock it up. Also shovels, rakes and hand tampers would be of great help. As usual there will be lunch and drinks for all that participate. Thank you all so much for your support, together we can make this dream come true.

Thanks for hard work and for showing me around the course again Ken. The General kicked my butt once again. I will be back for another shot at cracking 60. Heard there was a 54 out there somewhere.

Looking for a small work group to meet this Friday at 5pm at The Hawks Nest to move the platforms that Josh has been working on out to their hole locations on the course. Shouldn't take long. Looking for at least six people to lighten the load. Please post or PM me if you and/or someone else can make it. You will be fed.
Work day to put in the last ground boxes is being planned one day the weekend of May 17/18. Stay tuned.
Thanks again for all the volunteer help. We will have The General ready for the 28 Chain Salute on May 31st and beyond.

Here's our plan for this weekend. Work day is on! Material is all on site. Plan is to begin moving base material to the holes this afternoon (Friday) starting around 2:30. Tomorrow (Saturday) we will begin (rain or no rain) at 9am, but those who want to avoid the rain should get there after rain stops or around 11am/noon. We will complete ground boxes on 1,2,4,6,8 and 18. Platforms on 3,10 and 17 may be worked on if time permits. If pads are done we will move downed trees away from hole 4,5 and 11 fairways. This is how we roll.
