Lance is the 'self proclaimed' most tested. Ever notice that you only see Lance during the Tour de France. The other cyclists are in a race every two weeks. They are therefore tested year round. Then, every year like clockwork, the guy shows up and dominates them? Cmon? If he is not competing, he cant be tested. so he roids up all year and stops right before the big one. The roid use allegations are put out there by other cyclists and his team members, its just rarely in the media, cause he is such a good guy.

Anyone, of course, is free to speculate all day and convince themselves of whatever they wishfully hope to believe.

But in my book, speculation (no matter how logically-sounding) proven fact.

If it ever were to become an established fact that Armstrong took illegal performance enhancers, he would pay a dear price. Until then, he or any other enviably-performing athlete is presumed innocent, right?

Right?

Here is the thing. When the allegations started, he retired, thus elliminating the chance of being tested at any point. Now again, he says he will race. He will not even place this time around, just watch.

Lance Armstrong has been tested more than any other cyclist. Some harsh penalties for testing positive. Has he failed one?

Again. Read the article I posted here on Lance.

Lance does not get tested more than other cyclists. He gets tested 'more' during the tour de france, cause he dominates everyone. Throughout the year, you hear nothing because he is in a roid stupor while he trains. Then he stops, gets it out of his system and signs up for the TDF. Don't you think its strange that all his competitors and team members have called him out. Can you really choke that up to jealousy.

You probably can chalk that up to jealousy since his rivals consistently choke.

Those stating a claim are required to provide proof...not the other way around.

Anyway, here's some cursory research on your Landis claim:

How could you possibly provide "FACTS" with nothing to back those "FACTS" up?

Everyone needs to get over their finger pointing. What people do in private is just that, PRIVATE, no one elses business. Jelousy IS the real green monster. If you don't think fat boy Ortiz isn't a product of steroids then your living a pipe dream. I don't care if they all do steroids, its their life, let them live it the way they want to. Since the Sosa- McGuire era it seems to me that baseball didn't care or turned a blind eye. Therefore it becomes a moot point. Get over your Holier than Thou attitude and just enjoy the game. In the big scheme of things it doesn't mean a goddamn thing. After all it is JUST A GAME. Even if disc golfers want to do steroids,
thats their choice, it shouldn't be any of your business. If you don't like it don't watch or go to the ball park ! LIfe is to short to be concerned about overpaid sports figures. After watching the Frizzaks, some could say that they take the same steroids as A-Rod is accused of.

but Ken, it's not a level playing field. If people choose to do the steroids, as you say is their decision, then what about the guys that play with their talent alone, without the benefits of the drug? It's unfair, and it's cheating.

No, they shouldn't be able to do it. None of them.

and when/if they DO get caught...much harsher penalties need to be enforced...

Baseball bigwigs new it was going on as far back as 20 years or more. Both recent commissioners knew this was going on and did absolutely nothing. A little too late to be complaining about it now. They kept their eyes and ears closed then. By the way Phil, if you consider it lying and cheating then why do you bother even following the game? So you can have something to P&M about. Sounds to me like sour grapes. I have no respect for people that whine all the time, Phil, because thats what all this sounds like to me. If baseball officials think that baseball players are going to stop steroid use then they are living with their heads in the sand.

They should be banned. Like Pete Rose. The consequences need to be severe. Plus there is probably some type of undetectable super juice out there now.

From what I heard they are getting away with HGH (Human Growth Hormone). Your body produces a certain amout of it but there is no way to detect how much your body makes so they been increasing the amount of levels of HGH, which comes undetected in a drug test because your body natural produces it. Doctors must be making a killing just for coming up with this idea.
