Not a serious event, but we're having a wives and girlfriends league on Saturday, July 14th at Page Park in Bristol, CT. Not intended to be competitive, but fun for all and a good way to get more girls on the course.

.....and after a lacerated finger, 5 hrs in the ER, 14 stitches, a tetanus shot, allergy attacks, getting scratched by nettles and DFLing, I had a great funk time and I can't wait for DGGW 2014!!

Devens League now has a Women's Division Wednesday's 5:30.

I have summers off so the best time for me would be when school gets out, probably during the week.

I know, I know, "for women only" but I had to make a note on behalf of Jess.

Southern and Central VT are close to some pretty cool disc golf courses. Only about 1.5 to 2.25 hours from the worcester area to killer spots in VT/NH. You can get there via the mass pike to 91N. You can go 495N to 89N/West or even the scenic way out rte 2W to rte 12 towards Keene NH then cross into Bellow's Falls VT and kaboom, you're right on 91N. It's quite snappy to hop off 91N in Brattleboro (exit 2) and either pick up rte 30N following the Connecticut River or head West out of Brattleboro on Rte 9 and link up with Rte 100N, which is cool too.

And by "killer spots" I mean some fantastic restaurants, amazingly beautiful swimming holes on rivers and lakes, great disc golf courses and some of the most friendly people in New England.

Saw off the time, make a day trip of it and go check out what the Green Mtn state and it's neighbor NH have to offer to disc golfers. I promise you'll want to go back after just one visit.

Hello NEFA!

This is a very exciting year for women's disc golf in New England! There are SEVEN women's only events scheduled for NEFAland in 2016.

The NEWDG Committee is asking for donations to create raffle baskets throughout the tournament series. Money raised from the baskets will go toward buying the end of the season raffle grand prize - a practice basket. Each woman will receive a ticket toward the practice basket just for playing (can earn up to seven free tickets!) and more will be available for purchase.

We are looking for donated items to place in the following themed raffle baskets for each event:

May - International Foods
June - Beauty
July - Camping
July - Beach
August - Grilling
September - Games (outdoor/indoor)
October - Car
