At Page last night a newer golfer commented on how he thought birding hole 18 was unattainable. I told him Laner did it a few weeks ago putting his approach shot in from down the fairway. We were unfortunately on different pages (pun intended). He was thinking birdy as getting a 3 on the par 4 and I was talking about getting the 2. He was really surprised to find out a player could card a 2 (eagle) on that hole.

I think a 2 on hole 5 would be a greater accomplishment. Has anyone heard of a carded 2 on hole 5 at Page?

Fairway aced hole 17 b-w at the spring fling. Thumber from the yellow tees bounced off the ground and in, maybe 180 feet out

The term "fairway ace" cracks me up. How would you score that on the card? 1+1?

Just missed hitting a Cubby ace today before Wick league. We were playing some warm up holes and I aced hole 4. Then decided to try for a Cubby ace. The first one went left but the 2nd one (following the Lyons anny route) crashed off the top of the basket

BC,

You are correct. Buffalo Tim reminded me of that yesterday. Hitting a 2 on either Page 5 or 18 is pretty impressive.

That's the new "moving obstacle" they've introduced for the Vibram this year! You're lucky you threw it high enough to avoid Old Man. Had he snatched your disc right out of mid-air, you'd have had to have played 2 directly where he came down after his jump. Try 3-ing it from there!

Threw a drive OB on hole 2 at Pye Brook. It skipped on the grass and I heard it hit pavement. So I just re-tee'd and threw my champ teebird in for a second shot circle 3! 354 feet for a par! Still felt like an ace at that distance-

yes it is. I thought one of the travelers would put in a long approach for the 2 on that hole. How far out was he after his drive?

Rumor has Jerm hitting long 18 for the 2 with a 45 foot jump putt.
